Pratima-The Writer

Pratima’s art evolved over a period of time, gathering influences of various art forms to which she was exposed during her extensive travel as well as holding exhibition in Germany, UK and USA. Interacting with critics and historians, she realized how little was known about Indian Art and Artists. She then decided to contribute her might to put Indian Art scene on world stage and started compiling an extensive book whose first edition was published as “Dictionary of Indian Art & Artists”.

She is now occupied compiling a new, updated version of the same. Enriched by more information covering over 1000 Artists, Words, Styles, Techniques, Sanskrit words, Galleries, Institutes and Visuals, etc. This new book will go all the way in filling the vacuum in a compendium that can act as chronicler as well as a reference book.
